Athletics

BASKETBALL

Basketball club is open to all students of our school. Basketball is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4-5:30pm at the school’s gym and coached by Mr. Edwards

DANCE TEAM

Students will be part of the Spirit squad, performing at halftime of sporting events, as well as assemblies. Students are expected to hold themselves in high regard as they will be representing the student body. Students will also be expected to take care of their uniforms and poms as well as learn all the routines for their performances.

Judo Students

JUDO

Partnering with Judo4All, we offer free Judo lessons to all students at P.S. 226 THE NADIA J. PAGAN SCHOOL. Judo is a Japanese martial art and Olympic sport practiced by millions of people around the world. Judo’s philosophy revolves around two primary principles: maximum efficient use of energy and mutual welfare and benefit.

WRESTLING

Wrestling is the sport consisting of grappling with an opponent and trying to throw or hold them down on the ground according to a group of rules. A 10 week (October 3rd- December 11th) co-ed wrestling team complete with practices, dual meets, tournaments and a City Championship.
